James E. Kennedy is Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of News Corp. Mr. Kennedy joined News Corp from Sony, where he was head of communications for Sony Corporation of America (2011-2013) and Sony Pictures Entertainment (2005-2012).
Beforehand, Mr. Kennedy served in the Clinton White House as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary, Communications Director for Vice President Al Gore and Senior Advisor to the White House Counsel. Mr. Kennedy also was a spokesman for Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Joe Lieberman and the Connecticut Attorney General’s office. He has a B.A. from the University of Rochester and an M.A. from the American University School of Communication. He serves on the Board of the American Australian Association, and is a member of the News Corp Philanthropy Committee.
