Grant Knuckey was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of ANZ Americas. In this role, he continues to build on ANZ’s 50-year presence in the US across corporate banking, capital markets, fixed income, and project and structured finance.

Grant was previously CEO Japan for ANZ, with additional management responsibility for the banks business in Korea.

His career with the bank spans over 20 years, the majority of which has been spent in Asia. Grant has held senior positions in Institutional Banking, Global Markets, and Strategy in Singapore, Hong Kong, mainland China and the Mekong region, prior to his most recent role in Japan. Notably, Grant led the process of attaining a full banking licence for ANZ in Myanmar in late 2015.

Outside ANZ, Grant sits on the Executive Committees of both the Australia & New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Japan (ANZCCJ); and the International Bankers Association of Japan.

Grant holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce from Victoria University, as well as a Master of Business Administration (1st Class Honours) from Trinity College. He is married with two children.
