LISA FOX INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIP
 

The American Australian Association is accepting scholarship applications from Native American students interested in pursuing graduate level study or post-doctoral research in Australia.

 

Each year, the Association hosts the Lisa Fox Indigenous Scholarship which support international study and exchange between our two countries. Scholarships are awarded up to a maximum of US $40,000 for one year.

 

USA to Australia (applications open from September 1 and close October 15, 2018)

 

 Lisa Fox Indigenous Scholarship: supports Native American students to undertake graduate study or research in any disciplinary field.

 

The American Australian Association is committed to advancing and investing in graduate education, to enable our countries’ most valuable resource – human capital – undertake groundbreaking research and unlock creative new solutions to pressing global challenges and help improve the quality of life for all citizens.

 

Through our American-Australian Graduate Education Fund, the Association awards 20-25 graduate and indigenous scholarships each year.  Launched in 2002, our Education Fund is one of the largest sources of privately funded educational scholarships between Australia and the United States with over 300 scholar alumni and US $7.5 million awarded to date. 

                                      

WHO CAN APPLY? 

 

To be eligible for a Graduate Scholarship you must be: 

 

- an Native American;

- undertaking or about to undertake research or study at graduate level or above;

- accepted or affiliated into an Australian university; and

- plan to undertake a minimum one-year full time research or study.

 

NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable financial need.
