American-Australian Indigenous Education Scholarships
 


The American Australian Association provides scholarships to support and develop cultural respect and understanding between our nations.  We are committed to helping Native American and Indigenous Australians develop their potential through educational opportunities, mentorship and network creation. 

The Lisa Fox and AAA-Aurora Education Scholarships support Indigenous Australian and Native American students to undertake Graduate level study at an accredited educational institution of the applicant's choice in each other's countries respectively, for a minimum of one-year. These scholarship are open to any disciplinary field. Please note, applicants do not have to be accepted into the US education institution at the time of application.


AAA-Aurora Indigenous Scholarship - Australia to USA direction only | APPLY

The AAA-Aurora Scholarships provide support of up to $40,000 to two post-graduate Indigenous Australian students studying or planning to study in the United States in any disciplinary field at an American University or accredited institution for a minimum of one-year.

Lisa Fox Indigenous Scholarship - Australia to USA & USA to Australia direction | APPLY

The Lisa Fox Indigenous Scholarship provides support of up to $40,000 to one Indigenous Australian student and one Native American student to undertake graduate study or research in any disciplinary field at an credited educational institution of the applicant's choice in each other's countries respectively, for a minimum of one-year.

USA to Australia | OPEN: Year-round

Who can apply?


To be eligible to apply for a Lisa Fox or AAA-Aurora scholarship you must be: 

  • A recognized member of an Indigenous Australian community;
  • A recognized member of a Native American, Alaskan Native or Native Hawaiian community, if applying for the Lisa Fox U-A direction; and
  • Planning to undertake a minimum one-year full time study at an American University or accredited higher education institution in America. 

It is not a pre-requisite to have already been accepted into an institution at the time of application. Recipients will have a maximum of two-years from the date of the grant being offered, to find a placement and receive the awarded funds.

NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable financial need.
