ANZAC DAY & VETERANS' LUNCH
THURSDAY, APRIL 25, 2019

On April 25th, the American Australian Association (AAA) and the Australian Consulate-General, New York will host their second ANZAC Day and Veterans' Lunch at Cipriani Wall Street. The lunch will celebrate ANZAC Day, deepen the US-Australian defense alliance and raise funds in support of the AAA's American-Australian Veterans' Fund (AAVF)

2019 AMERICAN AUSTRALIAN ARTS AWARDS

Another successful American Australian Arts Awards dinner was celebrated with a capacity crowd of 350 guests, who gathered to honor Elle Macpherson and Simon Baker with the prestigious Excellence in the Arts Award. Hosted at Skylight Modern New York by the American Australian Association, the annual event was presented by National Australia Bank, in partnership with the Pratt Foundation and Bird in Hand, to recognize the incredible contributions made by Australians who have advanced the friendship between our great countries through the Arts.

AAA - INCITEC PIVOT LIMITED (IPL)
VETERAN SCHOLARSHIP AND INTERNSHIP

The new American Australian Association - Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL) Veteran Scholarship and Internship will provide a once in a life-time opportunity for an American Veteran to be supported with a US $40,000 scholarship, for one-year of Graduate-level study at an accredited Australian educational institution. Upon completion, the scholar may undertake an internship at IPL’s business, Dyno Nobel, in the United States or Australia.

Applicants studying or looking to study 
Engineering, Leadership or Operational Management are strongly encouraged to apply for this opportunity. 
Scholarship funds may be used to support travel, living, tuition or other associated educational costs.

  AAA - AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL SCREEN FORUM SCHOLARSHIP

 

The American Australian Association - Australian International Screen Forum Scholarship will provide support of up to US $10,000 to an up-and-coming Australian director wishing to pursue professional development in the United States for up to 3-months. The award will be given to a director who demonstrates talent working in the Australian screen industries including those with experience in making shorts, feature films, documentary films, or television or digital works.

The Scholarship includes placement on a screen project in the United States by the Screen Forum, and will include on-set experience. The Scholarship
funds may be used to support the costs of airfare, visas, insurance, accommodation and a per diem for living expenses.

AMERICAN-AUSTRALIAN ARTS FUND
NOW OPEN

The American-Australian Arts Fund provides support of up to US $30,000 to emerging 
American, Native American, Australian and Indigenous Australian artists to study or undertake artistic development in each other’s countries respectively. The American Australian Association awards more than 15 arts scholarships and grants, in both directions, each year and has to date supported more than 500 talented young artists, totaling over US $1 million.
