Can you believe summer is nearly over and it's already back to school time? Whether you need suggestions to stretch out the last bit of the season or just get a decent cup of coffee  - we've got you covered.

Upcoming events

Throughout September Events worth checking out

September 6 -  AWNY's Aussie Writers in New York. Join former Sydney-siders Georgia Clark (The Bucket List, The Regulars) and Lexi Freiman (Inappropriation) for a lively discussion about literature and life as a novelist in New York City. They’ll be in conversation about their process, how to write and sell a book, their critically acclaimed new novels and how to make a living as a creative in this big, bad city that we all love. Taylor St Baristas, 33 E 40th St, New York. Time: 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. Buy tickets ($15 members, $20 non-members). Read a review we wrote in 2016 about the venue.

September 14 -  AWNY's Met Rooftop Summer Cocktails. Join us for one of our most anticipated events of the year. Who wouldn't want to watch the sun set over Central Park with views of Manhattan? Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cantor Roof Garden Bar, 1000 5th Avenue, New York. Time: 5.30-8pm. It's free, just buy your own drinks. RSVP here.

October 2 & 10 - The Emotional Transition of Moving to New York. Moving to the Big Apple from Australia can take more of a toll than most realize. One minute you are loving the experience and the next you are feeling isolated and questioning why you came here in the first place. Share your experiences and gain information in a hands-on, interactive experience workshop with Susie Lang. Find out more.

October 5: New Members' Breakfast hosted by Susie Lang. Midtown. 8am.

October 16: New Members' Dawn Drinks. Downtown Brooklyn/Boerum Hill. 6.30pm.
