On Tuesday, March 7, the Hon. The conference focused on Captain Cook scholarship, with a special emphasis on his voyage aboad the Endeavor that created an early and enduring bond between our two nations.

The Director of the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project (RIMAP), Dr. Kathy Abbass, updated attendees and cadets on current efforts to find the final resting place for the Endeavor.

Donna Carstens, Indigenous Curator at ANMM also importantly spoke about what the Endeavor and Captain Cook mean to Indigenous Australians.

Thanks to Dr. Mark Meirowitz from SUNY Maritime College for moderating these exciting discussions!
