We are proud to announce our 2016
Benefit Dinner Honoree

Every year, the Association holds a Benefit Dinner to recognize important American-Australian business relations and to celebrate the scholars of its Education Fund. Proceeds from the Benefit Dinner go towards building the Association’s Education Fund. 


The Association has received a total of 100 applications for the Australia to USA Fellowship and AusArt Fellowship. We are currently reviewing the applications and will notify all applicants of the status of their applications by June 2016.

Development Manager, New York

The American Australian Association, a prestigious non-profit organization with headquarters in NYC offers an outstanding employment opportunity for a full time Development Manager. The position reports to the Vice President.

The Development Manager will:
- support and implement the Association's Development and Fundraising Programs
- establish and maintain relationships with existing and prospective corporate donors
- provide support and interface with the Association's web platform and donor database

Dame Joan Sutherland Fund recipients, Grant Scicluna and Reef Ireland, attended the Miami Ft Lauderdale MIFo LGBT Film Festival this month. Their film, Downriver, directed by Grant and staring Reef, won the festival's prestigious Jury Award. The film is to be previewed in New York City in August this Year.

Other Australian films that won prizes at the Festival included Remembering the Man for best documentary and Women he's Undressed with an Honorable Mention.
