 Dame Joan Sutherland Fund applications now open



We are now accepting applications for the 2016 Australia to USA Fellowship for up to $40,000. Australian post graduate and doctoral candidates in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and medicine  are encouraged to apply. Details available on our website here.

Matthew Herington
Matthew Herington received the 201University of Queensland Fellowship from the American Australian Association for his research on energy and poverty. Matthew is hosted by the George Warren Brown School of Social Work and the McDonnell International Scholar’s Academy at Washington University in St Louis. We reached out to Matthew to ask how his time in St Louis has enhanced his research.

The Dame Joan Sutherland Fund provides small grants to Australians and Americans who show great talent in the fields of theater, dance, film & television music, literary arts, visual arts, crafts and design.  The American Australian Association established the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund in 1998 for Australian aspiring artists.
