Stephan Moravski

Stephan Moravski is a 24-year-old graduate architect, having completed his Masters of Architecture from the University of Melbourne in 2010. In February 2011 Stephan applied to study set design for theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York (NYU). He was fortunate to have been accepted to study a Masters of Fine Art, in the department of Design for Film and Stage, within the discipline of set design. The Masters has a duration of 3 years. Stephan was accepted into the program by its School's chair Susan Hilferty, acceptance into Tisch School of the Arts is very competitive, and Stephan now has the opportunity to study and be mentored by some of New York's best theatre and film industry professionals. He completed an architectural design thesis for the development of an Australian Indigenous Cultural Centre within the context of urban Melbourne. In 2010 Stephan co-designed the set and costumes for Tom Gutteridge's Sweeney Todd at Union House theatre. He is currently working with Verchovyna Ukrainian Dance Ensemble to design their new work to tour throughout Australia and Internationally, and prior to his move to New York was a member of the ensemble, and a teacher within its school. Apart from his Architectural training, Stephan has had experience in the areas of Graphic design, interior design, and visual arts. Majority of his work to date has been voluntary within various facets of his community as a designer.
