Kathryn began her formal musical education at age 5 on the flute, completing her AMusA on her 15th birthday, in 2002. She completed an Honours year of her Bachelor of Music Performance in 2009 at the Victorian College of the Arts and Music with first class Honours.

Roles Kathryn has performed include: Dido in “Dido and Aeneas” by Purcell (2008), Second Lady in “Die Zauberflöte” by Mozart including a live radio broadcast on ABC classic FM (2008), Fiordiligi in “Cosi Fan Tutte” by Mozart (2009), Ernesta in a new Australian production “LOL Opera” by Nina Sofo, (2010) Daisy in the Australian premiere of “Contact” a new work by Angus Grant for The Arts Centre Melbourne (2011), Opera Australia principal artist for Oz Opera: Mother, Witch and Sand Fairy in “Hansel and Gretel” by Humperdinck (2011) Opera Australia Chorus for “Les pêcheurs de perles” by Bizet (2011), Reprisal of Daisy  in “Contact” (2012), and Opera Australia principal artist for Oz Opera: Queen of the Night, Pamina, Papagena, and First Lady in “The Magic Flute” by Mozart (2012). She has joined the Opera Australia Chorus for “Carmen” by Bizet, “La Forza del Destino” by Verdi, “Tosca” by Puccini (2013), “Madame Butterfly” by Puccini (2014) and “Carmen” by Bizet (2014).

Kathryn has won prizes in the following Competitions: Opera Australia Young Artist Program (Semi-finalist 2009), Manningham Aria, West Gippsland Aria and Eisteddfod by The Bay Aria (First Prizes in 2010). Herald Sun Aria (Semi Finalist 2010, 2013 and Finalist 2011), Boroondara Aria and Warrnambool Aria (First Prizes in 2011). South Eastern Arts Festival Aria (First Prize 2012). Macdonald Aria and Australian Singing Competition (Semifinalist 2012). Bel Canto Award and Opera and Arts Vocal Scholarship (Finalist 2013).
