The COVID-19 crisis has strained many of China’s trade relationships. In different ways, both Australia and India face new challenges in managing trade tensions with China, their number one trade partner. Given the critical importance of China to the Indo-Pacific trade system, how can Australia and India navigate these tensions? Dr Priya Chacko is a Senior Lecturer in International Politics in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Adelaide and a Visiting Academic Fellow of the Australia-India Institute at the University of Melbourne.

 

Dr Jeffrey Wilson is the Research Director at the Perth USAsia Centre. He provides leadership and strategic direction in developing the Centre’s research program across its publications, policy and dialogue activities.
