23,000 Australians and 400,000 Americans are living with Multiple Sclerosis. Everyday, between 1-2 Australians will be diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. 3 out of 4 people diagnosed are women and the average age of diagnosis is just 30 years of age.

MS Research Australia is the largest national not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding and coordinating multiple sclerosis research in Australia, as part of the worldwide effort to solve MS. Its goal is to accelerate research: into the cause, better treatments and prevention, with the aim of ultimately finding a cure.

Australia Women in New York (AWNY) and Telstra are hosting An Evening For Awareness in New York for MS Research Australia. The evening’s goal is to tell you about the incredible work MS Research Australia is doing towards a cure. Dr Matthew Miles, CEO of MS Research Australia will be speaking at the event and discussing the recent breakthroughs in treatments and how Australia and the US work together to develop new treatments and potentially a cure for MS.

Refreshments for the evening will be generously provided by Telstra (who selected MS Research Australia as the 2017 Charity of the Year).
