IN MEMORIAM

The people of New Zealand have suffered an unspeakable tragedy. We at the American Australian Association condemn this crime of hate in the strongest possible terms and offer our deepest sympathies to all those affected. New Zealand is a diverse community, home to people of all faiths and cultures, and an attack on its people constitutes an attack on our shared, democratic values of tolerance and equality. As Prime Minister Scott Morrison said, “we are not just allies, we are not just partners, we are family.” Our hearts and prayers go out to the Muslim community of Christchurch and all the people of New Zealand in this difficult time.

Amb. John Berry (Ret.)

President, American Australian Association
