Rochelle Rankin
Dame Joan Sutherland Fund recipient, Ballet Dancer

Rochelle Rankin is from N.S.W Australia. She has been dancing since the age of four, and it is her dream to become a principal classical ballet dancer.
Rochelle received distinction in all twelve of her R.A.D exams, and has danced with Central Dance Company, Sydney City Youth Ballet and in the Australian television series Dance Academy. She has also performed in the musicals Cats and Boy from Oz. After two years full-time at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy, Rochelle decided to further her training and was accepted directly into Joffrey Ballet School’s second year program in N.Y.C. Rochelle has since danced her way into the lead roles for every Joffrey performance.
She has been a student teacher as well as choreographing for fellow students since she was fourteen years old and she has continued both of these roles at J.B.S. She was recently accepted into The Boston Ballet and American Ballet Theatre summer programs.
