Nicole Brady
Dame Joan Sutherland Fund recipient, Composer/Pianist

Nicole Brady, composer and pianist, is currently undertaking a Masters in Composition, at New York University, with a specialisation in scoring for Film and Multimedia, courtesy of the generous assistance of the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund and the Brian May Scholarship. Nicole has worked on a range of diverse projects around the world. Her compositions have been performed by prominent artists such as the Orchestra of Vienna, Sean Wayland, Dama-Dama, Bohuslav Martinu Orchestra, Jackson Harrison Trio, Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, and Moravian Philharmonic.  As a pianist, she has also toured Europe in solo recitals through such organizations as Bosendorfer and the Austrian Contemporary Music Society.

As a film composer, Nicole has scored numerous films, including the Australian Feature Film Next door to the Velinsky's and the animation Sneeze Me Away, which won the 2010 Park City Film Music Festival Gold Medal Jury Award for Excellence in Music.
Nicole has collaborated with many prominent film composers in the joint role of lead orchestrator/arranger and soundtrack producer. Some of these projects include the Studio Gonzo anime Romeo x Juliet (Columbia Pictures Records), the Sony Pictures anime Valkyria Chronicles and video games such as Tactics Ogre (Square Enix), Tekken 6 (Bandai Namco), Valkyria Chronicles I, II and III (SEGA), Deltora Quest (Bandai Namco). In addition to soundtrack recordings, Nicole has received commissions worldwide for concerts featuring her arrangements of film music, and she served as the composer and arranger of the Eminence Symphony for six years. 
Nicole, currently a student of David Spear, graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with the Winifred Elizabeth Nerious award for the top graduating piano recital.
