The American Australian Association & J.P. Morgan Chase& Co hosted a Reception and Private Dinner for The Hon Malcolm Turnbull and Ms. Lucy Hughes Turnbull on Sunday, September 18th in New York. The Prime Minister emphasized innovation and free trade as economic imperatives; and used the opportunity to push the United States government to ratify the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement

The American Australian Association, in conjunction with Morgan Stanley, hosted 80 of our corporate members and their invited guests at a special lunch to welcome Australia's Ambassador to the United States, H.E. the Hon. Joe Hockey, in New York. 
Ambassador Hockey spoke about the depth of US and Australian defense and intelligence cooperation; and other topical subjects, including the upcoming US and Australian elections, US engagement in Asia, and the importance of the Trans Pacific Partnership for Australia and America.

With numerous American Australian Association members in attendance, the Premier outlined how the Victorian Government is investing in productivity-enhancing infrastructure to enable the state to take full advantage of its growth potential.

  The American Australian Association, in conjunction with Citi, hosted a Lunch Address for former Australian Prime Minister, the Hon Julia Gillard in New York. Ms. Gillard, who is now Chancellor of Ducere, an Australian-based online education provider offering courses in business and management; delivered a speech on the Importance of Global Education and the Future of Digital Learning.
