JP Morgan Museum and Library Tour
Tuesday, October 3

Please join AWNY on Tuesday, 3 October, 2017 at 1.15pm for a private group tour of the highlights of the Morgan Museum and Library.  JP Morgan was the American banker who dominated the world of finance in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  He was an avid collector of historically significant books, manuscripts, drawings and prints - among them, original Mozart symphonies, journal entries of Henry David Thoreau and 3 Gutenberg bibles.

Mr Morgan built his library in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo. His home was adjacent to his library and is now the foot print for one of the annexed buildings added to accommodate the ever expanding collection and visitors. The architecture and design of all the buildings are worth a visit alone.
