Biography
Amy has been working with Australian business in the USA for over 20 years. Her interest in export began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Economics from the University of Delaware and a Masters Degree from Georgetown University (Washington, DC). In the early years of her career, Amy spent two years living in Melbourne and working as an Export Advisor for the State of Victoria’s Department of Industry, Technology and Resources.
Upon returning to the USA in 1991, Amy founded ATC International (originally called Australian Trading Company) and began assisting Australian business in a variety of capacities which included: Research Consultant, National & Regional Sales Agent and US Business Representative. During this time, she discovered first-hand how important logistics were toward achieving on-going sales in the US marketplace.
In 1998, Amy turned ATC’s focus toward developing US-based warehousing and distribution services. Today ATC’s services offer a variety of solutions that have been expressly designed for Australian exporters. In addition to warehousing and business management, ATC also offers valuable guidance regarding US importing and standard business practices.
The “fulfillment warehousing” business model that ATC began developing 10 years ago has become a successful market entry solution for many of ATC’s clients. Today ATC has warehouses on both the East and West coast of the USA and daily ships Australian consumer products throughout the US to major retailers, regional distributors, specialty stores and direct to consumer.
