Association fellow Dr Elizabeth Murchison leads the fight against devil cancer 

Association Fellow Elizabeth Murchison is lead author in a study with a recent breakthrough in understanding the origin of the cancer that is driving the Tasmanian devil into extinction.
 
As widely reported, the study has discovered that nerve-protecting cells are the likely origin of the devil facial tumor disease (DFTD) that has obliterated the Tasmanian Devil population.
