Previous Fellows at the Benefit Dinner

The Education Program

The American Australian Association launched its Education Fund in 2002 and is currently funded largely through monies raised at our Annual Benefit Dinners and through direct corporate sponsorship. The Education Fund was established to support post-graduate study and research between Australia and the United States and is the largest source of privately funded educational Fellowships between the two countries.
The American Australian Association awards fellowships each year to Australians and Americans for advanced research and study in the United States and Australia respectively. The Fellowships build on existing strong social and economic partnerships and foster intellectual exchange between the United States and Australia.  To date, over 250 Fellows have received awards totaling over US$6 million to pursue studies in critical fields - from key medical research to sustainability - at top institutions such as MIT, Harvard and Princeton.
  • A number of the fellowships are generously sponsored by key corporations and patrons
  • To date, over 250 fellows have received awards totaling over US$6 million to pursue post-graduate studies in critical fields, from medical research to sustainability, at leading academic and research institutions
